Every year INORE holds a symposium gathering graduate students and researchers from all over the world. Here's some more information on the 2011 Symposium.

Over 50 Ph.D. students and early stage researchers from around the world—representing 35 institutions—gathered in Alcoutim, Portugal for a 4-day symposium on offshore renewable energy. Set along the banks of the Guadiana River, the rolling hills adorned with wind turbines provided an idyllic backdrop for this intensive symposium. By bringing together researchers, this event—which is free of charge—helps achieve INORE’s goal of stimulating knowledge sharing and collaborative learning in a cohesive, global offshore renewable energy research community.
