Abstracts are now being accepted to the 4th Marine Renewable Energy Technical Conference.

The conference Technical Committee is now accepting extended abstracts for presentation at the 4th Annual Marine Renewable Energy Technical Conference on topics related to tidal energy, wave energy, offshore wind, ocean currents, ocean thermal energy and other ways to extract energy from oceans or rivers. Also of interest
are engineering and environmental studies that further the sustainable development of marine renewable energy. Go to www.mrec.umassd.edu to see presentations from the previous three technical Conferences. The accepted abstracts will be made available on the New England MREC website (www.mrec.umassd.edu) and on flash drives given to each attendee. 

Submit extended abstracts of maximum 3 pages, with graphics and references directly to: mrec@umassd.edu. Please submit in Word and in PDF. Please include your presentation title, your name, title, affiliation, email address and telephone number clearly at the top of the 1st page. Extended abstracts are due 18 May 2012.

There are limited travel funds available for students presenting papers. Include request for Student Travel funding on a separate page and include a budget.

Accepted speakers and poster presenters must register ($175 per person - a $220 discount) to attend the conference, at https://webapps.umassd.edu/events/mrec/. For general information about the conference, the accommodations and more, go to: www.mrec.umassd.edu/event/.
